Fun Play

An exercise workout does not have to be torture. In order to stay healthy, one knows they need to burn calories and maintain a level of fitness. But motivation is a topic onto itself. Not feeling motivated to exercise is probably because the exercise is not fun.

The number one excuse for not exercising on a regular basis is the lack of time. But if you watch your children or your pets it will remind you of the fun in physical activity.

So how do you put the fun back in your exercise program:

  • Make playtime your workout
  • Consider dancing
  • Incorporate variation
  • Spice up a dull routine
  • Train for a specific trip or vacation
  • Continue to challenge yourself

We need to stratify our exercise program into good, better and best. Thus walking may be good, jogging may be better, and running may be the best. The most important thing is to be consistent about your exercise routine and enjoy your choice of movement.
