Neuromonitoring Treatment Options

Gulf Coast Spine Care specializes in creating personal treatment plans for our patients.

Neuromonitoring

Gone are the days when spine surgeons have no option but to operate on the spine not knowing if vital neurological structures including the spinal cord and nerves are being compromised.

Dr. Howard Cotler uses state of the art Neuromonitoring during surgery with the help of Board Certified Neurologist and Electrophysiologist, Dr. Tara Wegryn. Dr Wegryn and her team of trained technologists provide minute by minute information to Dr. Cotler on the condition of the spine and nerves throughout the whole surgical procedure, using the most advanced equipment and computers. Dr. Cotler is informed immediately if any change in nerves or spine conduction is seen, allowing for immediate change in surgical procedure and therefore preventing any surgical complications.
